North and South Dakota
The Quiet
States
Are you tired of the hustle and bustle of city life? Want to get away from rush hour traffic, and relax in the wide open spaces of the Dakotas? If you plan on traveling to South Dakota or North Dakota, this website may interest you.
You will find pictures and information about all the things you can do and see while visiting the Dakotas. Also some information on Northern Nebraska and Iowa. See pictures of some campgrounds and state parks where you can stay, and some great places to go hiking or swimming.

What
kind of attractions are there in the Dakotas? Mount
Rushmore, in western South Dakota, is the most popular. But where is it located,
and where will you stay when you travel there? We have some suggestions, like
in Custer SD, or even Keystone.
Maybe
you would like to know what the weather is like in the summer, and what part of
the state gets the hottest? As far as we can tell, Rapid
City really gets the heat, and has been in the triple digits most of July.

You will find all kinds of tidbits of information on this website, because we recently moved to Tripp SD, and have been busy exploring this great state. Maybe you are planning on retiring in South Dakota? That's what we did and have found it a great place to retire!
We hope you will enjoy viewing our pictures and reading our stories. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to email us.
Your hosts,
Vlad and Carol in Tripp SD
