Winner SD Pictures
The town of Winner sits on the other side of a hill, and there is a sign that says, "Winner, the Beginning of the Real West." And a sign saying the population of Winner is 1354.
Winner is surrounded by gold and green fields. It is a long town, yet not very wide.
We passed a Holiday Inn and a Super 8 Motel on the east end of town, and a couple of motels on the west end of town.
They were also preparing to repave the main street. If there was a Main Street in Winner we didn't see it, and I suspect that Hwy 44 was Main Street because there were two old buildings.
